Feb 17, 2020:

Squirrels stole all 150 acorns Mom planted. My brother and I tried to console her by saying she will soon see dozens of live oaks sprouting in my sister’s yard.

Frankly I don’t know how to count that in the seedlings tally.

On the drive back from the Symposium I will look for more acorns for her. Live and learn.

Feb 7, 2020:

My gardener extraordinaire mother has just planted fifty live oak acorns in raised beds at my sister’s ranch. Progress reports to come.
